Stephanie Jensen

Jensen Equestrian began in the mid 90's at the Jensen family farm in Blackstock, Ontario. Stephanie opened her business, where she taught lessons, did some breeding of quality performance horses, as well as training, sales and clinics; and from which she has developed a successful business, doing what she loves!

Stephanie started riding early in life on her 'backyard' pony. A Pony Club member for over 10 years, Stephanie competed through the levels both in jumping and dressage, starting on ponies and working her way to the horses.

At the age of 12, Stephanie decided that dressage was the route for her, and this is when her dressage training began. Stephanie competed Basic through FEI Young Riders, which helped Stephanie begin her professional riding career. Stephanie was successful throughout North America representing Canada at the North American Young Riders Dressage Championships in 1996 and 1997. In 1997, Stephanie placed 4th Individually at the NAYRC in Chicago at Temple Farms and helped secure the team to a 4th place finish.

After Young Riders, Stephanie traveled to Germany to continue her training. Stephanie was also named to the Canadian Dressage Team's Long List, on her horse “Marzano” (left), at the Prix St. George and Intermediare 1 level. In 2004 Stephanie and her Young Rider/Advanced Level horse debuted in their first season of Grand Prix.

Besides her current Advanced level mount, Stephanie has a number of other young and promising horses in training and hopes to represent Canada one day at International competition.

Stephanie is an FEI Rider and Equine Canada Certified Level 2 Dressage Coach, with a long list of accomplishments.

RIDING CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

2008
Compete at the Advanced level with Addiction. Placings in Florida on the winter circuit at PSG Level with Addiction.

2007
Successfully competed Addiction in his first season of PSG/I1. Reserve Champion at the Advanced level at RCRA.

2006
Competed numerous horses from First Level to Fourth Level winning numerous classes.

2005
Successfully competed FEI 6 year old with Addiction.

2004
Grand Prix Debut with Marzano, currently listed as a Canadian Elite rider.

2002
Reserve rider for the Advanced Team with Marzano at Dressage International Blainville for the Coupe des Ameriques.

2001
Second consecutive-year member of the Intramural Team Challenge, with Marzano at Dressage at Devon .

2000
Competed successfully with Marzano in the Advanced Division, and was a member of the winning team of the Intramural Team Challenge sponsored by Henry Equestrian Insurance. Overall Champion in the FEI Advanced division at Blainville.

1999
Team trialist for the Pan American Games.

1998
Competed successfully with Marzano in the Advanced Division. Became Long-Listed with Marzano.

1997
Won the Eastern Canadian Young Rider Championship with Marzano. Named to the Ontario Young Rider Team. Was Highest Placed Canadian at the North American Championships, placing 5th Individually and helping the Team to a fourth place finish. Awarded the Dr. Brian Mills Memorial Award 1997, presented at the Canadian Equestrian Federation Awards Banquet.
