Stephanie Jensen

Stephanie’s love of the equestrian sport started at a very young age as she learned to ride the family’s “backyard pony” at the astonishing age of two years old and she has never since looked back. There was no stopping this natural born rider as she rode her way through the ranks in both dressage and jumping disciplines.

At twelve years old Stephanie decided to specialize her riding talents in the discipline of dressage. She stepped her way up from the basic level through to FEI Young Riders. Success shone on Stephanie throughout North America as she represented Canada at the North American Young Riders Dressage Championships in both 1996 and 1997. At the 1997 NAYRC finals Stephanie achieved an Individual 4th place, helping the Team secure a 4th place finish as well.

After her success at Young Riders Stephanie was named to the Canadian Dressage Team’s Long List with her horse ‘Marzano’, a very prestigious honour. Stephanie then travelled to Germany to further her training.

In 2004 Stephanie and Marzano made their debut in the Grand Prix ring.

On top of her busy showing career, Stephanie graduated from an agricultural program at the University of Guelph in 1999 and then opened her business, "JENSEN EQUESTRIAN" located at the Jensen family farm in Blackstock, Ontario. Her business operations include coaching lessons to dressage and event riders, hands on clinics, training competition level horses, breeding and sales of quality performance horses.

Besides her current FEI mounts "Addiction" and "Stiletto Dancer", Stephanie has a number of other young and promising horses in training and hopes to represent Canada one day in International competition.

Stephanie is an FEI Rider since 1996 and an Equine Canada Certified Level 2 Dressage Coach, with a long list of accomplishments.
